Hi,

Thanks, to everyone who as already logged-on and looked into this.

Because this is a promotion I wanted to add a few comments.

First it has really been in my heart to Financially Support Christian Causes and Projects.

For example I was recently browsing in a store and noticed that they were offering the Christian Movie Megiddo, Omega Code II for sale along with their other movies and DVDs. I had already seen the movie while it was out in the theaters and was planning on buying it at TBN but since a secular store was carrying a Christian product I wanted to show my support for Christian materials and purchased the DVD.

I think that the reason that this is such an issue with me is that in the last 2-3 years my area (Southern California) has seen a Dramatic decline in the number of Christian bookstores and also a Dramatic decline in the quality of material that is being offered in the few remaining stores. Without really realizing it one of my greatest pleasures used to be driving from Christian store to Christian store and spending time browsing the isles and listening to music and always meeting Christians and just having a good time.

Well in the last few years Dozens of the bookstores that I used to shop at are now closed. Obviously we Christians want our own Christian alternative to the material that the world is making so readily available so we need to support those that are creating and providing Christian material for us and I think that this film and specifically this company is indeed worthy of our support.

Ill provide some information on Cloud Ten Productions the makers of Deceived in my next post.

Thank you,

God Bless You,

David

There are some who say that Cloud Ten is one of Hollywoods best-kept secrets. But, thats not likely to remain the case for long. The company is garnering serious mainstream attention from the likes of Entertainment Tonight, CNN, People Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, The L.A. Times, The New York Times, the Rosie ODonnell Show, The New Yorker and GQ Magazine, who have all featured its films.
Since its inception in 1994, the independent Canadian film studio, founded by brothers and CEOs Peter and Paul Lalonde, has exploded onto the scene with five consecutive successful releases to its credit.

In 1998, the company saw a swift vertical rise into the production of quality mainstream filmmaking with the release of Revelation, starring Jeff Fahey, former supermodel Carol Alt, and Nick Mancuso. The reviews for Revelation were extremely positive, calling Cloud Ten "Hollywood-Hip" (National Post), Peter and Paul "Canadas version of the Coen brothers" (Tribute Magazine), and their films "smart and clever" (Mirabella). Revelations success led to the release of Tribulation (1999), with a bigger budget, higher production values, and bigger stars (Gary Busey, Margot Kidder, and Howie Mandel). The Lalondes had their biggest success to date with the October 2000 launch of Left Behind-The Movie, based on The New York Times best selling novel; a film they co-produced with Kentucky based Namesake Entertainment. The film, which stars former Growing Pains heartthrob Kirk Cameron, won "Best Selling Title of the Year from an Independent Studio" and "Sell-through Title of the Year by an Independent Studio" awards at the VSDA conference in Las Vegas. The film went on to win the Film Advisory Boards Award of Excellence. This success was soon followed by Judgment, released in March 2001 (starring Mr. T and L.A. Laws Corbin Bernsen), which shot up the Billboard charts to #7 right behind the Academy Award winning film Gladiator.

The Lalondes are passionate about filmmaking. "We truly believe that movies are the story-telling medium of our generation. They are how culture and values are passed along. We want to be at the heart of that." Peter Lalonde

To keep in line with the companys mission to maintain its position as the industry leader in the production, distribution, and acquisition of quality faith-based family entertainment, Cloud Ten recently acquired the rights to promote and distribute the film WATERPROOF, starring Burt Reynolds. Similarly, they have acquired the rights to promote and distribute the film Miracle of the Cards, based on a true story. The film stars: Kirk Cameron, Richard Thomas (The Waltons), and Catherine Oxenberg (Dynasty). With a recently wrapped production titled DECEIVED, starring Judd Nelson (Breakfast Club) and Academy Award winner Louis Gossett, Jr. (An Officer and a Gentleman), Cloud Ten is now gearing up for their next production, Tribulation Force, a follow-up to Left Behind.

To date, Cloud Ten has sold over 4.5 million copies of their films on video, building a solid foundation in the process and charting a course for future growth. "Fortunately weve been able to put together a team with the substantial capital necessary to release films ranging in budget from anywhere between $10 million and $50 million," says Cloud Ten President Edwin Ng. Cloud Ten will continue to launch four projects a year, consisting of two full-scale productions and two acquisitions.
